Delete your Snappy Staff account

What you can delete depends on whether you are a member of staff or you run the business. Both routes are here.

This page covers the Snappy Staff app, published by Neirfeno Limited.

Which one are you

Snappy Staff holds two different things, and they are deleted by different people.

Who can delete what
You areYou can deleteAsk
A member of staffYour own account — your sign-in, your membership and your profileUs
A member of staffYour rota, shifts, availability and holiday recordsYour employer — they control that data, not us
The owner of a businessThe whole business account and everything in it, including all staff recordsUs

If you are a member of staff

Email support@snappystaff.co.uk with Delete my account in the subject, from the address you sign in with. Tell us the email address on the account and the name of the business you belong to.

We will delete your sign-in record, your membership and your profile within 30 days. You will lose access to the app.

What we cannot delete on your request is the rota and staffing record your employer holds — the shifts you were assigned, the holidays you took, the availability you gave. Your employer is the controller of that data. It decides whether to erase it, and it may have its own reasons or legal duties for keeping it, including the two-year working-time record required by regulation 9 of the Working Time Regulations 1998.

Ask your employer directly. If you tell us, we will pass the request on and help them answer it, but the decision is theirs. If you think they have refused wrongly, you can complain to the ICO about them.

If you own the business

Email support@snappystaff.co.uk from the address on the owner account, with Close business account in the subject and the name of the business.

Before you do, take out anything you need. Closing removes the rota history, and you may have working-time or holiday records in there that you are required to keep. That obligation is yours, and closing the account does not discharge it.

We will confirm, give you 14 days to change your mind, and then delete within 30 days of the deadline passing. Every member of staff loses access at the point the account closes.

Confirming it is you

We have to be satisfied you are who you say you are before deleting anything, particularly for a business account where one request wipes out records for a whole team. Emailing from the address on the account is normally enough. If we cannot match it, we will ask for something more, and we will ask for the least we can.

If your business is moving to Kupaly

Closing a Snappy Staff account is not the same as moving to Kupaly, and doing one does not do the other. If your business is migrating, say so in your email and we will make sure nothing is deleted that you meant to bring across.

Your other rights

Erasure is one of several rights. You can also ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected, or object to how it is used — see the privacy policy. Remember the split: for account data, ask us; for rota data, ask your employer.

If we refuse a request we will tell you why and how to challenge it. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint at any point.
